For about seven years I served as the lead designer for Plane & Pilot magazine. Geared toward general aviation enthusiasts and private pilots, Plane & Pilot was labor-intensive in terms of design, but the production process was always fun and exciting. I worked hand-in-hand with the editors and other production staff, particularly the long-time editor-in-chief, Isabel Goyer.
As you can readily see from the some of the layouts below, Plane & Pilot was always extremely ambitious with its content. Each issue was densely packed with extensive, in-depth pieces and a plethora of exceptional imagery.
