When I first started as a designer for Madavor Media, I was tasked with doing a lot of work with some of their newly acquired photo titles—Digital Photo and Outdoor Photographer. I worked with these titles for about a year before becoming the principal designer on Plane & Pilot.
I generally enjoy any project that's thrown my way, but every endeavor will stand out in its own, different way. Working with these photo titles was just, well, fun.
I've always loved playing with type and imagery, working to blend them together whenever possible. I certainly did that here, but also often remained cautious, working to avoid my design work getting in the way of the strong images.
