As features designer at The Standard-Times, I was lucky enough to have been tasked with the layout and design of Coastin', the paper's weekly events and entertainment supplement. This gave me my first experience working with a horizontal, magazine-style format.
Soon after my starting work with Coastin', I snagged my first design award—first place from NEAPNEA for feature page design. The features department at The Standard-Times was blessed with an extraordinary group of talented and highly creative editors, so it was exceptionally easy for me to sink my teeth into the content, and really have a lot of fun with the designs.
Shown below are a few favorite covers and interior pages from my time designing Coastin'.

AWARD WINNER
One of the earliest spreads I designed for Coastin’. This piece was awarded first place for feature page design by the New England Associated Press News Executives Association (NEAPNEA) in 2008. To date, I have won three first place awards from NEAPNEA.
